The course is designed for staff acting as a Chief  or Deputy Warden or anyone involved with the Emergency Planning Committee. Covers policies and guidelines for Fires and other Emergencies including the operation of the Emergency Warning Information System (EWIS.) The course material and handouts are used in conjunction with current Workplace Fire Safety Legislation and guidance. Based on AS73745-2010 Planning for emergencies in facilities.

In an Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) the Chief Warden plays a critical role. Your leadership during the planning stage and during exercises as well as actual emergencies will determine how well your Organisation deals with and recovers from the Emergency

This course gives all participants the knowledge to carry out the role of Chief Warden including:-

  • Establishing and managing an ECO.
  • Managing and developing emergency procedures and assessment activities.
  • Emergency communications, notification and warnings.
  • Training, drills and exercises.
  • Liaison with emergency services.
  • Evacuation management.
  • Post-evacuation management

First Response/Extinguisher Training and Fire Warden Training

  • Describe Emergency Planning Committee responsibilities.
  • Develop the Emergency Planning Process.
  • Determine the Chief Warden's preventative involvement.
  • Identify the Chief Warden’s preparedness role.
  • Define the impact of special workplace situations on emergency management.

For Groups up to 15
Costing can be negotiated for larger groups and Charities.

The Course is designed to be delivered at the customers location, access to a training room is required.

A copy of your Emergency Procedures will need to be provided 1 week prior to training
